Booking: Terms and conditions, and additional information
1. All payments should be by cheque, payable to P. Spencer Davies, and mailed to 15 Lochend Rd., Bearsden, Glasgow, G61 1DX or (and preferable) by on-line transfer . Email me and I will give you the account details.
2. One week or two week holidays start on a Saturday.
3. Short breaks of 3-4 days may only be booked within one month of the holiday, and are not normally available in the peak times of Christmas/New Year, Easter, July/August. They begin on a Monday or Tuesday if staying 4 days, or on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, if staying for 3 days. (This is to allow the cottage to be cleaned on the following Saturday morning).
4. For bookings made more than 56 days before the start of the holiday, a deposit equal to 30% of the price of the holiday should accompany the booking. The remainder must be paid 56 days before the start of the holiday. For bookings made less than 56 days before the start of the holiday, payment in full must be made.
5. When payment in full has been made we shall send full directions on how to get to the cottage and where to pick up the key. On the arrival day, you should not arrive before 4.00pm and on the day of departure, you should leave by 10.00 am. This is to allow time for the cottage to be cleaned, before the next arrival.
6. Cancellations. A cancellation charge will be made to enable us to recoup lost income. We will be as flexible as possible as possible with this, and urge you to make insurance provision to cover the charges if possible. The following charges will apply:

If we succeed in re-letting the property, we will make an adjustment to the cancellation charge, so that you pay only 10% of the full cost of the holiday.
7. The price for the holiday covers heating and lighting, provision of bedlinen and hand-towels. There is a cot, but we do not provide bedlinen for that. Bath towels can be rented for £2 per person per week - please let us know when making a booking whether you want to rent bath towels, otherwise they will not be provided.
8. We do not charge for minor breakages, but ask you to pay for anything major which is broken.
9. When you arrive at the cottage you will find a ‘Welcome’ file which contains further information on the history of the cottage, how everything works, and there is a pile of information on local things, places to visit etc.

IMPORTANT Please note that there is parking available for one car only, on the cobbles outside the cottage. Additional parking is available in Windmill Lane, about 200m away.
